Stream not working?
Work down this list in order. Most stream problems are fixed at step 1 or 2 without anyone needing to ring anybody.
1Is the FrogBox encoder switched on?
The FrogBox is the club's own encoder and it runs on its own battery, so it does not come on with the rest of the kit. Check its lights. In the app, the "FrogBox encoder" line should say connected.
If it says not connected, the FrogBox is off or its network cable is out.
2Has the stream been started in FrogBox Go?
Sightstream's camera sends a picture into the FrogBox all the time, but the stream itself only starts when someone starts it in the FrogBox Go app. Scheduling, starting and stopping the stream all live there, not here.
3Is the club's internet working?
The stream goes out over the club's own broadband. If the broadband drops, the stream drops with it, and it does not switch to a mobile signal. Check that the clubhouse wifi is working. If not, the fix is with your broadband provider.
4Does the app say the Sightstream pod is OK?
If the "Sightstream pod" line shows a problem, the fault is ours. Sightstream is alerted automatically the moment that happens, so we are probably already looking. Message us if you have not heard within the hour.
5Everything says OK but the stream is still down?
Restart the FrogBox encoder: switch it off, wait ten seconds, switch it on, then start the stream again in FrogBox Go. An encoder that has been on for a long time occasionally needs this.
Still nothing? The fault is between the FrogBox and the internet, and FrogBox support are the right people. Message us anyway so we know.
